Construction Specialist Expanding in Qatar and Beyond
Medgulf, founded in 1975, is responsible for some of Qatar’s most prominent projects, including Jaidah Tower, one of the first towers built in the country; W Hotel; pipelines and other initiatives for the hydrocarbon industry. One of the key projects of Medgulf construction was the completion of the biggest helium plant in the world for RasGas. Now rapidly expanding beyond the oil and gas sector, Medgulf aims to become one of Qatar’s leading construction firms over the next five years.
General Manager Chakib Nayfe explains, “Medgulf wants to become a tier-one player in Qatar and then expand to other markets. We need strong partners to reach this goal, and I am actively looking to form Joint Ventures with strong international companies.” Medgulf has established an outstanding track record for completing challenging projects that meet the highest standards of quality, safety and longevity.
Successful partnerships with global players
The company has also developed expertise in diverse areas, from mechanical and civil engineering to construction and manufacturing. Mr. Nayfe says, “We offer flexibility and in-depth experience of the Qatari market. We are also well known for our close cooperation with our clients, our safety, quality and on-time performance.”
Mr. Nayfe aims for Medgulf to play a key role in developing Qatar’s economy. He says, “Qatar is what the UAE was 10 years ago. It has great potential and just needs international expertise. This country has a long way to go, but it is making rapid progress.”
As for Medgulf, Mr. Nayfe is very confident that it will reach its goals and expand its presence beyond Qatar. He says, “Medgulf is the partner of choice for US investors in Qatar. We can help guide them to success in this market and beyond. We welcome joint ventures and partners.”
